How do i make my short hair wavy?

you can see who i am by going on, www.myspace.com/hanaa_oxo, you can see my profile picture, and see how short my hair is.i really want wavy hair i have tried pulling sraightners through it going up on down as i was told to get it wavy, i have tried platting it, and they dont work for me. is there any other way to do this? i really want it wavy, please help :(
