Oli leaking out of bottom of my forks?

So i have a 08 model of a norco shore 3. i got this bike right before the snow came and never got a good chance to ride it. I stored it in my basement, i went to check it out and i found that it had been leaking oil out of the forks. it seemed to be coming out of my beround adjustment. i found out later that my forks seemed to be a bit soft. what do i do? do i put more oil in them?? or do something else
