Do you need a 3-D TV to watch a 3-D movie?

Let me explain more. I bought the movie Coraline which has 2-D and 3-D formats. And the movie also came with the cheap gles with the one red and one blue lens. So I have a 3-D movie with 3-D gles, but I don't have a 3-D TV. Do I need one in order to see it in 3-D?
