Ffp files are all screwy!?

Recently my computer crashed and I had to reformat. Before the crash my ffp and md5 files had little logos next to them that said 'ffp' and 'md5'. I could just double click on them and it would open Trader's Little Helper and the program would verify the checksums. Now I have no logos and have to manually put them into Helper to verify. How do I get those little logos back and simplify the verifying process?
