Is Minnesota a terrible place for the Republican convention?

I have to question the thought process behind choosing to hold the Republican convention in MN. The locals ousted most of the Republicans in the last election and the governor was only able to hold on because they ran an idiot against him. Ever since the governor has been running to the left. It looks all uphill for Coleman in the next election even though he is moving left also. To make matters worse, the area probably lacks adequate numbers of call girls and finding pro-life hookers may prove to be very difficult in this liberal stronghold. What are you thoughts on this choice?
