Why are there random sounds playing on my computer. when no windows are open? how do i make it stop?

ok...soo when im listenin to my music.. some random sounds come out. sometimes its the sound of news, and sometimes music, but i don't really no what it is? no programs other programs are open. i close every program i had open and the sounds still keep playing. how do i stop that? or who knows what it is?
